How to unite spaces: 9 Best Ideas for Integrated Environments

Kitchens open to the living room, living-dining room, bedrooms with dressing room and bathroom… We give you ideas to incorporate several environments on the same surface and make it a success.

Practical solutions that manage to create wide and open spaces. You will love it!

A pane of glass

The old brick wall has been replaced by a glass partition that “closes” the kitchen, but not visually. Thus this room without windows receives direct light from the living room; in addition to creating a greater sense of spaciousness and continuity. The surface is fluid and modern.

Transition elements

The granite countertop attached to the wall and finished off with a table serves as a link that integrates the kitchen area with the living room. For greater harmony, it was enough to coordinate the colors of the gray table and those of the stools with the dining room table in the background. The result is wonderful.

One area after another

In this room, a low wall has been built, designed by Andrea Pussin, covered with wooden slats, which is also the headboard. It separates the washbasin front from the integrated bathroom and, in turn, this wall hides the shower tray and the toilet, in the background. The environments are chained and become independent, without the need to close them.

Differentiate environments with two heights

An opening with a shelf made in one of the sides separates the kitchen from the dining room. In that one, the height of the ceilings has been respected; however, in this one they have been lowered, since a second level was built on top. The different heights provide dynamism and separate without walls or doors. Only the blue color of the furniture in the background is a differentiating element. So that the living-dining room would not be too confined, the wooden beams were also painted white (to raise the ceiling) and a spotlight rail was placed.

In parallel

Dressing room, sink and shower on the same front are hidden or communicated through sliding fiber-gypsum or glass panels. On the other side, lower, a rest area has been installed: circulation is comfortable in every way.

Connected bedroom, bathroom and dressing room

This “blind” bedroom receives natural light from the windows of the bathroom and the dressing room, with which it is connected through a sliding door. The solution is brilliant, since intimacy is achieved in one or another environment, just by sliding the sash thanks to a barn-type guide.

Make the m3 profitable

The great height of the house has made it possible to install a loft with a steel structure, which is used as a multipurpose room, living room or guest room. An island unit below separates the kitchen from the living room.

The extractor, the glass backsplash and the front of the cabinets, by BConnected, look great in the lower part.

Outside-in connection

The landscape seeps into this room through large windows and forms part of the room, furnished by Habitat, and converted into a powerful focal point. It shares space with the American kitchen, located discreetly at the back: the integration is total.

The kitchen, under the stairs

This space, often underused, has been made profitable to install a kitchen, which takes advantage of the unevenness of the ceiling and communicates with the dining room. It is a semi-open construction, without doors, but independent in a white “box” provided with a practical breakfast bar. The iron stools, acquired at El Atelier de Argensola, and with wooden seats, are the transition element between this environment and the dining area, with a table and chairs made of the same material. The connection is perfect and a great solution for a duplex.

Total “open-space”

This loft-type apartment is divided into four main rooms with open spaces connected to each other, it has a kitchen, a living-dining room, a bedroom and a bathroom. Do you want to take a look? It will win you over with its feminine charm.
