Storage ideas are increasingly required all over the world because houses come with less space every day, and at the same time they are more expensive. That is why we wanted to bring some bathroom furniture ideas, which is one of the points where it is often more difficult for us to stay organized.
Geometric patterns are combined with angular, flowing designs in fixtures, furniture, and countertops. Furthermore, the focus on high-quality natural or synthetic materials are the hallmark of modern bathroom design.
home vanity furniture
A bathroom vanity isn’t exactly a complex piece of furniture, so we can build them on our own. The easiest option would be to reuse an existing piece of furniture or something that can be adapted for this use. We will show you some ideas that can inspire you.
Before putting together a piece of furniture for the bathroom, you must take into account some factors, for example, the humidity in the room, the available space and the style that best suits it.
Some of the factors to consider when designing a bathroom vanity are, for example, the sink you want to use, the height of the countertop, and the type of storage you prefer.
If the size allows, you can transform a chest of drawers into a bathroom vanity. The transformation is not too difficult. The first thing is to get a sink that fits. Draw its shape on the top of the dresser and cut out the hole. Then you need to make a hole in the back for the pipe, paint the dresser, install the sink, faucet and plumbing.
Another thing that you can repurpose as a dresser is a dining table. In general, dining tables are quite large, so you will have to shorten it. The dressing table can only be supported on two legs, with the back attached directly to the wall. Make sure you measure the sink before you cut the table and that the piece fits. If you can find a dining table with built-in drawers, you’ll have additional storage. Of course, you can take advantage of the empty space under the dresser to store things like towels and cleaning products in boxes or baskets.
Perhaps an open design would be better for your bathroom. In this case, we show you some ideas of open shelves under the sink. This option looks quite sturdy and solid, with a sturdy wooden frame and a stone top for the sinks.
If your bathroom is small or you want to keep the decor open and airy, consider a floating vanity. It is one of the easiest potions. You just need a piece of wood, a table saw, a drill, some screws and polyurethane. If you want, you can add a shelf, as well as stain the wood a shade that matches the bathroom.
Many things can be reused in a bathroom vanity. For example, a vintage sewing machine could add a lot of character to the bathroom. Just remove the sewing machine and replace it with a sink.
You can also use a side table, they are quite small and can usually be found in very nice designs.
Another thing you can reuse is a wooden barrel. The transformation is actually quite easy. You must leave space at the top for the sink. Wood adds warmth to the room.
Repurposing can be easier in many cases, but sometimes it’s better to throw out old furniture and make something new from scratch. A bathroom vanity doesn’t have to be super complicated, especially if you prefer a rustic or industrial style.
Stainless steel shelves
A very simple idea is that of the mobile shelf in stainless steel, with glass shelves. This is a delicate option that can have wheels on the legs, therefore it can be moved according to the need to use the space. Also, for a party, if you don’t want to have it in the bathroom, you can perfectly attach it to a set of armchairs, along with a lamp and look perfect in the living room of the house.
Bathroom cabinets with glass doors
Here we see another option, which does not solve the issue of space, but which seeks at least not to have to use more places for decoration. And we are referring to the shelves with glass doors or walls, since through them, we can see what is inside, and if it is well organized and has attractive colors, it could end up being the decorative center of the bathroom.
Shelves
You can also be very creative, and install shelves against the wall. Take a look at these ideas.
Baskets
The applause goes to the wicker baskets, which are increasingly in demand, as they provide a rustic image in terms of decoration, and neat in terms of the aspect of order and cleanliness they convey.
If you are not willing to invest in baskets like these, perhaps these wire models are more convenient for you, offering the same result, although with a lower level of finesse.
Washbasin cabinets
This is one of the options where you can make a difference, and make the bathroom look the style you want, be it modern, classic or vintage.
